The Future

Recently I have had lots of thoughts about the future. Questions and thoughts about where I will be in 5, 10, 15 years down the road. Of course just like any other young girl I have a pictured dream life in my head. Will that be my reality? Who knows but I sure do hope some of it is. I have always been a dreamer, one that just loves to think of the future and all possibilities of things later on.

Often times my friends and I talk about getting married and having little families, about where we will live after we get married and the type of jobs we will all have. Even though that is all fun and games now, I know that when the time comes it will be pretty scary for some. As much as I hate change more than anything, there is something in my heart that tells me I am ready for everyone of those challenges. I was born ready for this stage in my life. I have been waiting for what seems like FOREVER to become, a teacher, momma and wife (I still however have many years to go before any of that is a reality).

It is crazy to me how one thing of change can scare some, but to another it is nothing. When talking to my friends, they always think it is CRAZY that I could get married tomorrow and be so happy. But again, I am a 30 year old living in a 20 year old's body. HAHA! My hope and wish is that my sweet little family will be crazy goofy, young at heart, and just perfect in the eyes of myself and my creator. I want nothing more than for my kids and husband to crave Jesus more than anyone in the world.

Life is short y'all and before we know it, I will be looking back at this post and planning my next post about retirement. CRAZY! But until then I am going to just continue to live one day at a time and love every minute of it.

So in 10 years I hope to be happily married, have an orphanage of children, and a life that I love so incredibly much! I don't think I am asking for too much ;)!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!! Hugs to all!

The Current Obsessions Are Back!

I find myself more and more being addicted to online shopping, and it is really hurting my pocket book. SO until I can find the right type of "AA" for shopping, I shall unleash my needs wants on here!!

1. Essie Punchy Pink

I love love love spring and all the nail polish colors that come with it! I have been on the hunt for this nail polish for the longest time. Either places don't carry it or they are all sold out :(.

2. Whistling
Although I have no picture to represent this, I have recently learned to whistle and I AM OBSESSED! I feel like I little kid who learns how to walk for the first time. It's like you just can't stop. I found myself walking through IKEA yesterday just whistling my little head off. Ok, enough of the baby obsessions.. back to the ones that make my shopping addition so real.

3. Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag

I love this purse so much, but the thought of spending 1,100 dollars on it is killer. Maybe one day when I am rich and famous I will splurge.

4. My boy Blake Shelton <3

The last two years I have had the honor and privilege to go see Blake Shelton at the rodeo! He is seriously my absolutely FAVORITE. He has such a generous and sweet heart. I love watching him on The Voice. He is definitely the life of the party!! He sure does know how to put on a good show :). Thank you again JQ and Ellen for the tickets, they were sure loved!!

And lastly....

5. This weather!!!!!

The last couple days this sweet pup and I have taken full advantage of this gorgeous weather. We have taken hour long walks almost daily. It is one of the most refreshing things ever! I have been in heaven! I love the cold weather, but the cold and rain were really starting to get to me! I am so glad to be in shorts and flip flops :).

I think that is about all for now!!!

Happy First Birthday, Blog!

Today my first child blog turned one years old. A year ago today I was brainstorming in my head what I could write for my first post, and praying that this blog journey would be all I dreamed of and more. During the first year I have learned that you can't blog once a week, every once and a while your blog needs a facelift, and sometimes it truly is hard thinking about something to write about.

I am so grateful for this blog and all the love and relief it has brought to my life. I love that I have a place to jot my thoughts down, without feeling like it has to be perfect. I always enjoy reading people's blogs, and my only hope was/is that others can get there fulfillment from mine. When starting this blog I truly had no idea if I would actually keep it up or not. I asked myself "do you really think you have time to blog???" My initial thought was no... but this blog has proven me wrong, and showed me that there is always time to blog.

Although I try to blog at least twice a month, I often find myself falling a tad short, and having to do lots of catch up posts. With that being said though, I still do truly love everything about this blog and what it has done for me.

Daily Margarita, you have been such a joy in my life. I can't thank you enough for all the memories you have captured in your short little life. I look forward to watching you grow throughout the years!

Current Obsessions!

I thought I'd share some of my current obsessions with the blog world! Here goes...

1. Fitbit Flex

I purchased this fitbit about a month ago! I was really skeptical for a long time, about if it really worked and if I would actually use it. After getting it and getting it all set up, I put it on my wrist and never looked back. It tracks all the right things (steps, calories, water intake, and sleep!)

2. This adorable Old Navy sweater
I saw this in the store yesterday and knew I just couldn't pass it up. Plus it was on sale!!! It might have only been 10% off, but that was enough for me to make the big purchase. Seriously this sweater goes with everything, and it is perfect for both the winter and the summer!

3. Rootbeer
So I really don't drink all the much soda, but when I am craving that sugar carbonated drink this is my first choice. Here's the catch though... I only like Barq's and not every place has it. I guess for me that is a good thing, because otherwise I would be drinking it far too often.

4. Nate Burkus Candle
I found this awesome candle at Target! I automatically became so obsessed with it. Actually, enough that I was afraid I would burn it too fast, so I went out the next day and bought myself another. Thank god I did that because they no longer carry it!! It is the perfect mix of citrus, and it truly makes anything smell better.

And last but certainly not least...

5. EVERYTHING ON PINTEREST
Seriously... I can't get on there without finding something that I must have! It is soooo addicting. I will say though it has definitely brought out the crafty side in me and I love it.

I hope everyone had an {AWESOME} weekend, but that you have an even better week ahead!

Love to all near and far!

XOXOXO,

Maggie

Is This Really Another Catch Up Post??!!

I am starting to become the queen of these catch up posts. It seems like I blink for just a second and another month goes by. If you are like me you most likely skim peoples post about "Life Recently" or "Just Another Catch Up". I promise you I won't be offended if you decide to just move right on past this post. For those of you though who love to be bored to tears, and read about my not so average life, then I welcome you and thank you for all your patience.

Not even going to lie, I often wish that the bloggers of the blogs I follow would blog every single day. Who am I kidding though? Life always seems to get in the way, and the last thing you have time for is posting on the blog. And here I go sounding like a total hypocrite because I tend to go a long time in between posts.

About exactly three weeks ago I started back to school, for yet another semester of college. This time around I wasn't nervous at all and totally went in with an attitude of "WE ARE GOING TO KICK BUTT THIS SEMESTER!!!!!!!!", and so far I have done just that. My work load is a little less than most semesters and while it is sometimes a tad boring, overall I am loving all my free time and naps being productive! I feel as if I am not even in school, everyday I wake up bright and early to catch my 8 am class, but then I am home and back in my PJS by 10. What kind of life is that??? UMM THE BEST LIFE! So while my friends are walking to class, listening to lectures, or studying,  I am just chillin at home in my much desired pajama wardrobe.

I still however work everyday in the late afternoon, so I would say over all I am hitting the jackpot with life right now. What more could I reaaaaally ask for? So basically life has been full of babysitting, sleeping, and hanging out with my friends when I feel like I can't sleep any longer haha!

No complaints on this end! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and hopefully I will be back before shorts weather begins!

Maggie

The Start of Another Semester

On the start of the 7th week of break, someone came through and forced school upon us again. This has been some of the best rest and relaxation I have gotten in a really really long time. One week out of hell out of a whole semester is totally worth it, if this is always the reward. I love routine and I love having set plans everyday, but the fact that I have to be up everyday at 7:00 is something that I don't like at all!

This will be my 4th semester in college! It is weird to think that at the end of the semester I will be half way done with college. The last two years have definitely been challenging, both for good and bad reasons. One thing though is I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to further my education. I might not like school and getting up in the morning, but I know I will be so thankful for it when I am set in my teaching career. It's taken me a long time to get where I am today. So while tomorrow I will be annoyed that I have to get up and go to school, I know 20 years from now when I am waking up I will be so glad, that I got up and went to school way back when.

For the first 5 weeks of break I spent my time hanging out with my family and all my friends that were home from college. It was so nice to be able to slowly wake up and not feel like I had to rush to do something. Those 5 weeks were filled with so much happiness. A happiness that I had been longing for the last 4 months. A feeling that I wish never had to escape my precious heart and soul. Sadly though my friends had to go back to school and my family had to start back to work way before me! I still had a solid 2 weeks before I had to go back and I was worried that I would be bored to tears. Luckily that was not the case at all. The last two weeks I have spent time to myself, time to embrace silence, and time to just relax. And in those 2 weeks, I have also spent so much time with one of my nearest and dearest friends. It truly has been so amazing!!

Although my freedom and time of rest has come to an end, my heart is still trying to overcome all the joy that this break has brought to me. I cherish my time with my loved ones! I always look forward to family time and friends coming home to visit. But I also love my little life and my little routine that goes along with it.

So tomorrow I will spend yet another day in a classroom full of new people and professors, I will learn something new, and  I will go back to longing for the weekends to never end! I am ready to tackle another semester of college!

Thank you Christmas break for exceeding my expectations! You treated me so well!

XOXOXO,

Maggie

Birthday Princess!

January 12th is a very big day in our house! Actually the whole week leading up to 1/12 is a big deal. This just so happens to be my sweet sisters birthday! She loves her birthday, and makes it very known. In a good way of course :). Today she turned 23!!! It is crazy to me that we are all now in our 20's. Time is flying by and we just can't seem to stay young for long haha. Birthday's are always a big thing in our house. We are spoiled rotten for weeks before and after our birthday. It's more of a birthday month.

I truly have the most incredible sister. She is so smart, kind, goofy, and just all around the best. She is someone that I look up to in almost everything I do. I know that no matter what I can always count on her to lend me a helping hand when I need it, and she knows that I will return the favor for her. Having a sister is truly such a gift. I have a built in best friend/maid of honor that I can go to for anything, and everything and she will always give me her best advice. My friends are always sooo jealous of the relationship that Lauren and I have. They tell me all the time "I so wish I had a sister that I was that close with!" and my response every time is "I am sorry! You are truly missing out!"

Another wonderful thing about our relationship is that we are close in age. We have always been able to share friends, and I love that! My friends are her friends and vise versa. There is never a time that one of us is not invited to the others outings. We are kind of like a package deal in this house. If you want one, you must get the other as well.

I always wondered what it would be like to be a twin. I thought it would be so cool to have someone be just like you! Luckily, I got pretty lucky and my sister and I are practically twins, minus a few minor things. It is really the coolest thing ever!

There is so much I could tell you about my sister and our fabulous friendship/sisterhood, but I am afraid I will make you all jealous (just kidding). Seriously though if you have a sister praise her and the bond that y'all have! Not everyone gets this wonderful opportunity.

We have a wonderful brother as well, that treats us both like princess's. He loves us unconditionally and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful big brother!

Here is to 23 more years of everlasting love & friendship, sweet sissy! I love you SO much! Happy Birthday!!

XOXOXO,

Maggie
